  • Area Code: 1-2 digits
  • Subscriber Number: 5-6 digits

Area Code List

    [announced January 1993 - formerly in +7 zone, in which
     Lithuanian numbers had an area code starting with 012.
     Under the new +370 country code, 012 is removed and the rest
     of the number is used.

     From ITU OB#610: national numbers are a constant 7-digit length -
     area code of 1 or 2 digits followed by local number of 6 or 5
     digits respectively.]

  • Withdrew from country code 7 (former USSR territory) at an unknown time; ITU assigned country code 370 in January 1993. +7 012 was replaced by +370 in international dialling. Recent reports suggest a restructuring to provide a constant 7-digit total of area code and local number (1-digit area + 6-digit local, or 2-digit area + 5-digit local).
